Oatmeal Cookies 

1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup margarine or butter
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 tbsp milk
1 1/3 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup rolled oats

One of the following:
6 oz chocolate chips
1 cup raisons, nuts or coconut 

Cream butter & sugar. Add egg, vanilla and milk. Add flour, soda, baking powder and salt. Add rolled oats. Drop by teaspoonful on ungreased cookie sheet. 

Bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes.
